Haruki Murakami…my Japanese love affair.

It began 4 years ago, and we’ve been going strong ever since. It was love at first sight. I saw the words, he saw the awe in my eyes, and thus it sparkled. It all started when we Dance Dance Dance(d) together. A truly heart-stopping moment. It was a journey of twirls and loops and complicated twists, but we did it, and we loved every moment. This first dance took us on a journey to Hard Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World. This was a dark place. A mirrored passageway of non-sensical abundance. I was glad to get out. We fought along the way. The fights lasted for at least 6months. We just couldn’t sort ourselves out. We both saw other people (books). Eventually I decided to give him a second chance. It wasn’t the same. It was somewhat sour, I didn’t want to see him again. He was beginning to show two sides. How many more sides could there be? Well, I soon found out….

(To be continued by a Kafka on the Shore)
