I don’t know about you, but I LOVE Audrey Tautou. Seeing as Audrey Hepburn is no longer with us, it seems only right that we have another beautiful Audrey gracing our big screens. Best known for her lead role in Amelie, she is a classically quirky, pretty girl. I adore her and I’m so excited to see her star alongside Romain Duris in Michel Gondry’s new film- L’ecume des jours, based on the 1947 novel, which translates as ‘The Foam of the Days.’ It looks absolutely magical and follows the relationship between Colin- a rich inventor of a pianocktail (a little mashup between the piano and the cocktail) and Chloe- a girl who gets sick when a water lily enters her lungs. Now if that doesn’t have you intrigued enough, wait until you hear the only solution to her little illness…
She must be surrounded with flowers at all times. Everyday. Fresh flowers. Everywhere.
Seeing as Gondry directed Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, I wouldn’t really expect anything less from him to be honest. And he also directed The Science of Sleep- another of my favourites. Both gems of a movie.
Apparently it also features The Lumineers song ‘Hey-Ho’, which I’m sure you can’t help but dance along to.
It’s going to be a goody!
Out in France on April 24th…so we can only be patient. Gives us some time to brush up on our French…
here’s a little sneak peek at the trailer, yay!
